
About Dr. Latimer
Paul Latimer has over 40 years experience in clinical practice, research and administration. Dr. Latimer obtained his medical degree from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, and did psychiatric training at Queen's, Oxford and Temple Universities. After his psychiatric residency, he did a doctorate in medical science at McMaster University where he was also a Medical Research Council of Canada Scholar. Dr. Latimer was Associate Director of the Behaviour Therapy Unit at Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute and Temple University in Philadelphia until 1983 when he returned to Canada. In Kelowna, BC, since 1983, he has held many administrative positions, engaged in clinical research and done independent psychiatric evaluations for medical legal purposes. Dr. Latimer founded a medical research company - Okanagan Clinical Trials. The company was sold in 2019 and continues under new ownership. He continues to provide Independent Psychiatric Evaluations in Kelowna and Vancouver.
